These terms govern the FotoGrids affiliate program (the “Program”) — how you join, how commissions are earned and paid, and the promotion rules that keep the Program honest. By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these terms.
The Program is operated by FotoGrids and runs on the Freemius affiliate platform, which handles referral tracking, your affiliate dashboard, and commission records. Affiliates earn a 30% recurring commission on referred FotoGrids Pro purchases and their renewals.
1. Joining the Program
Apply through the form on our affiliates page. We review every application personally, normally within two business days, and may approve or decline applications at our discretion — typically we decline sites built on spam, incentivised traffic, or content that conflicts with these terms.
To participate you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- provide accurate information when applying, and keep it current;
- have a valid PayPal account for payouts;
- comply with the laws that apply to you, including sanctions rules.
You are an independent party — nothing in the Program makes you our employee, agent, or partner, and you may not make commitments on our behalf.
2. Commissions
You earn 30% of the net purchase price on:
- Initial purchases — FotoGrids Pro purchases referred by your affiliate link.
- Renewals — every renewal of those subscriptions, monthly or annual, for as long as the customer’s subscription remains active and your affiliate account remains active.
“Net purchase price” means the amount actually paid, excluding taxes and after any discounts. Commissions accrue in your Freemius affiliate dashboard, where you can follow clicks, conversions, and earnings in real time.
No commission is earned on your own purchases or purchases by accounts you control (“self-referrals”), on purchases refunded within the refund window, or on purchases not attributed to your link by the tracking cookie.
3. Attribution and tracking
Referrals are tracked by a cookie set when someone clicks your affiliate link. The attribution window is 30 days: if the visitor purchases FotoGrids Pro within 30 days of the click, the sale is credited to you. If a visitor clicks more than one affiliate’s link, the most recent click before purchase wins (last-click attribution), and one commission is paid per customer per purchase.
Attribution depends on the visitor’s browser accepting the tracking cookie; purchases that cannot be technically attributed cannot be credited. Attribution disputes are resolved from the Freemius tracking records, and our determination is final.
4. Payouts
- Method and schedule — payouts are made monthly via PayPal once your balance reaches $50. Balances below the threshold roll over to the next month.
- Refund window — a month’s earnings become payable after the 14-day refund window on those sales has closed.
- Reversals — if a referred purchase is refunded or charged back, the related commission is reversed; if it was already paid out, we may deduct it from future payouts.
- Taxes — you are responsible for any taxes on your commission income.
5. How you may promote FotoGrids
We’re glad to have FotoGrids reviewed, tutorialised, compared, and recommended — on your website, newsletter, YouTube channel, or social profiles. Keep it honest: describe features and pricing accurately, don’t invent discounts or promotions we’re not running, and don’t present speculation as fact.
Disclose the relationship. Wherever you use affiliate links, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose that you may earn a commission, as required by the FTC Endorsement Guides and equivalent rules elsewhere. A plain sentence near the link or a clear “affiliate link” label works.
Trademark use. You may use the FotoGrids name and the promotional banners and assets we provide, unmodified, to promote the Program. You may not alter the logo, register domains, subdomains, or social handles containing “FotoGrids” or confusingly similar variations, or present yourself as FotoGrids or as our official representative.
6. What is not allowed
The following end attribution, void the related commissions, and may end your participation:
- Self-referrals — buying through your own link or referring accounts you control.
- Brand bidding — bidding on “FotoGrids” or misspellings and variations of it in any paid search or ad platform, or using it in ad display URLs.
- Coupon and deal sites — posting affiliate links on coupon, discount, or deal aggregation sites, or advertising unofficial discounts.
- Cookie stuffing — setting the tracking cookie without a genuine, deliberate click on your link, including through pop-unders, iframes, or forced redirects.
- Spam — unsolicited bulk email, comment spam, forum spam, or messaging people who haven’t opted in.
- Misleading promotion — clickbait that misrepresents FotoGrids, fake urgency, fabricated claims, or impersonating us in ads, emails, or support channels.
- Incentivised traffic — cashback, rewards, or paying people to click or buy.
7. Term and termination
Either of us may end your participation at any time, with or without cause, by notice — for you, simply stop and let us know; for us, an email to your registered address.
- Without cause — if you end participation, or we end it without cause, approved commissions that have cleared the refund window are paid out on the normal schedule, even if below the threshold.
- For cause — if we end participation over a breach of Sections 5 or 6, or fraud, unpaid commissions connected to the breach are forfeited, and we may withhold other unpaid amounts pending review.
After termination, remove your affiliate links and stop using FotoGrids marks and assets within 7 days.
8. Liability and disclaimer
The Program is provided as is. We do not guarantee any level of earnings, uptime of the tracking platform, or that the Program will continue indefinitely — we may modify or discontinue it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the Program is limited to your earned but unpaid commissions.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. For material changes we will notify active affiliates by email with reasonable notice. Continuing to participate after a change takes effect means you accept it.
