It is not on wordpress.org, there is no free tier and no trial on any of their plans. Their own FAQ answers the question directly: “Is there a free version? Slider Revolution is a premium plugin.” A 14-day money-back guarantee is the closest thing to a trial.
Install it, build galleries, publish them, on as many sites as you like, without a licence key or an expiry. Pro adds to it; it doesn’t switch it on.
Their licence is explicit that a bundled copy “will not have access to direct support from us, premium templates, objects, and AddOns, or automatic updates”, and their pricing page adds that bundled installations get no AI features either.
Free receives every update through WordPress like any other plugin, with no key to register and nothing that lapses. Templates and layouts are part of it, not an entitlement attached to it.
Their docs enumerate the three module types exactly: Hero for a single slide, Slider for one visible at a time, Carousel for several. Content comes from eight named sources, and the default is a Custom Gallery you build slide by slide in the editor.
Grid, masonry, justified, slider, image viewer and single item, all in Free, built from your media library with albums, tags and bulk import around them.
There is no feature laddering: their plans differ by site count, not capability. The product itself is deep — motion design, an image editor, a large template and object library, and a long list of documented hooks for developers.
We ship a slider in Free — swipe, autoplay, transitions — and then the gallery around it: layouts, albums, tags, filtering, lightbox, watermarking, passwords and an analytics dashboard. Motion design is where they stay ahead.
Install the free plugin, apply a template, and change the parts that are not yours yet. Customize every detail from your very first gallery.
