FotoGrids 1.1.4 is out. This one is about the whole plugin feeling steadier: settings that apply everywhere you set them, statistics you can rely on, and an editor that is quicker to work in. There are twenty-three changes you can see, and many more fixes underneath.
Your settings, applied everywhere
The breakpoints and detection mode in Responsiveness settings now apply everywhere a gallery changes between desktop, tablet and mobile, so it switches exactly where you told it to. Deep linking works whenever it is on, whether or not social sharing is enabled, and a starred video now becomes the gallery’s featured item and cover. Sites on plain permalinks get the same behaviour as everyone else.
Statistics you can rely on
Album pages now count their views, and the Lightbox records a view for every slide a visitor opens, not just the first. Dates follow your site’s timezone, rankings with equal counts keep a stable order, and the charts stay inside their cards on narrow screens. The FotoGrids widget on the WordPress dashboard reports the same numbers as the Statistics page.
A quicker editor
Once setup is complete, the Dashboard shows the galleries and albums you edited most recently, one click from their editors. In Edit Item, tag, people and location suggestions search as you type, so any existing name is found, and closing with unsaved changes asks first in the FotoGrids dialog. A gallery with no items shows a clear empty state on its Preview tab, and a gallery or album saved without a title shows as “Gallery #123” or “Album #123” instead of a blank.
And many more fixes
Custom image sizes now follow saved gallery settings only, uploading from the Dashboard works, and the Page Buttons arrow icon matches the style you pick. Removing video embeds and setting the featured item in the items grid always save, item details stay in step across galleries that share them, and settings screens follow your profile language. The System Info error log lists only FotoGrids errors, and admin screens stay usable if a single control fails.
The full list is on the changelog, and what comes next is on the roadmap.
